A few steps from the historic center of Todi, in a restored convent dating from the XII century, stands the Hotel Bramante. Hotel Bramante, a family-owned business, contributes its own flair for hospitality to Todi — which is already known worldwide for its incomparable beauty and quality of life. It was built as the Convent of Saint Margaret in the 12th century, and is named in Papal Bulls of the period. You can see the lines of its refined origins in its stone walls, antique terra cotta flooring, the Sala Todi, once the convent’s chapel, and the rooms on the upper floor, once the cells of the Sisters who lived here. Everything about the hotel, like the surrounding Umbrian countryside, speaks of the arts…and is in its own way an art piece: the antique furnishings, which speak to the building’s medieval origins, are upholstered in a warm and relaxing palette typical of the Umbrian tradition, with the goal of welcoming our guests into a timeless atmosphere where they can relax and enjoy the beauty of the location and its surroundings.
Hotel Bramante is cradled in the shadow of the Temple of Santa Maria Della Consolazione, at the foot of Todi’s hill. You will be 600 meters from the city center, which is easily reached via a lovely walk; the less energetic can use a modern elevator with its own parking lot located only 300 meters from the hotel.
Hotel Bramante has 54 rooms, including four suites and three junior suites, for our guests’ comfort. All the rooms are spacious, welcoming, and comfortable. They are elegantly furnished in a traditional style, with attention to the smallest detail. The antique furniture harkens to the past, but every piece has been chosen with an eye to comfort and practicality.
We offer specially designed rooms for our disabled guests, rooms with communicating doors for our families, and comfortable cribs for our smallest visitors. The rooms have free wifi, wet bar (including fridge), luxury soaps and shampoos, a hair dryer, and plasma TV/DVD player. The suites have in addition an inviting spa tub and luxurious canopy beds.
At the Hotel Bramante, we have always paid particular attention to cuisine. Our chef, Aldo Mosca, offers a menu that is inspired by our Umbrian heritage; our chef takes ancient Umbrian recipes and reworks them by including notes from Puglia and other Italian regions, thereby marrying tradition and innovation.
At the Hotel Bramante, we hold ceremonies, weddings, banquets, business lunches, aperitifs, cocktails, and barbecues. Depending on our guests’ needs and the weather, we can cater in either the stylish interior spaces or the magnificent outdoor terrace with panoramic views.
The menus differ depending on the season and can be customized for your special occasion. The restaurant is also equipped with special menus for our guests who are intolerant to gluten, or those who prefer an exclusively vegetarian or vegan diet; our breakfasts are particularly attentive to a wide range of dietary requirements. We offer alternatives for every palate and need, with vegetarian, kosher, and gluten-free treats, and menus for working groups and leisure travelers.
