Hotel Le Silve
The ruins of the ancient 10th Century estate were finally brought back to life in 1983.
The ancient country home, with its great hall and rooms with stunning panoramic views, was lovingly restored to serve as an hotel.
A secondary wing with a breezy arcade that opens onto the park grounds was built thereafter to accommodate 6 more guest rooms with surreal panoramic views of the valley between Assisi and Perugia.
The estate was then completed by: the Armentum restaurant, renown for its authentic Umbrian cuisine, and the Casali, which feature beam and coffered ceilings typical of Umbrian architecture.
The estate lies in the verdant hills of Umbria, completely surrounded by forest and pastures that have also been reclaimed and put to their best possible use. Hence today, with upgraded roads and all other necessities, part of this idyllic serfdom once more serves as a working farm complete with well cared for cattle and pigs.
One could say that “warm hospitality” is a genetic trait of the Le Silve di Armenzano in Assisi: finding new ways by which to pamper our guests and provide top-quality accommodations and service is not an “on going effort” for us, it’s in our blood.
We are passionate about making our guests to feel at home, coddled by nature and free to enjoy every minute of their stay. Go ahead, feel free to indulge in the sin of gluttony, spend the day doing absolutely nothing then get in the pool in time to watch a romantic sun set framed by Mt. Subasio Natural Park, explore the forest on foot, on a mountain bike or horseback ride, play mini-golf, tennis, visit the animals on the farm or simply sit, relax and listen to the sounds of Mother Nature: we’ll take care of all the rest.
Like my Father Giuseppe before me, I love this land and I am committed to managing, protecting and enhancing this oasis of peace and well-being so that you, as my welcome guest, may also rediscover the simple luxuries of Nature.
The bare rock, terracotta bricks, wooden trusses and fireplaces hidden in every corner evocatively transport you back to the hotel’s mediaeval past. It is old and modern, a high class rural establishment mixed with preciousness of detail.
The two wonderful “salle a manger” in the Armentum restaurant where the heat of the old stone, the wooden trusses, and terracotta brick floors surround the guests with a pleasurable ambience while they dine.
Meals can also be taken outside during the summer in order to enjoy the view of the surrounding park, or to end the day watching the sunset from the restaurant terrace.
Ristorante Armentum AssisiOur cuisine is a precious meeting of traditional Umbrian flavours and the quality of Azienda Agricola Tenuta Le Silve’s farm produce, with meats carefully chosen from animals raised according to traditional methods, bread baked in a wood oven, hand-made pasta and a large wine-cellar.
Our chef and staff will guide and advise you in the choice of our products and menu specialities. For married couples to-be and other events, the hotel Le Silve has a pavilion available in the park, for Events and banquets.
